Homer Trojans (Homer, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Jonesville for a Big 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 12.

With the loss, Pennfield falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI) to battle the Spartans in a Southwestern Michigan - East challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
