North Carolina High School Softball - Jones bounces Southside

April 5, 2022: Chocowinity, NC 27817

Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC) and the host Southside Seahawks (Chocowinity, NC), witnessed Jones's softball squad prevail over Southside by a count of 16-6.

The Trojans now sport a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lejeune for a Coastal Plains 1A/2A match on Friday, April 8. Jones will meet a Devil Pups squad coming off a 17-2 league loss to East Carteret (Beaufort, NC). The Devil Pups record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Southside moves to 4-7 on the season. The Seahawks host Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC) to meet the Panthers in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A match on Wednesday, April 6. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 7-4. Northside - Pinetown lost 2-1 in their recent league match against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC)
