The Lubbock Westerners softball team (Lubbock, TX), was routed 19-1 in Tuesday's league test with the host Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX)

Coming up next, the Plainsmen encounter the Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 test, on Friday, April 8. Monterey will attempt to improve on its 17-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 14-5 record after their 6-4 league win over Cooper (Abilene, TX).

The Westerners (1-14) will now prepare for their test against Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Mustangs come into the 5A Region I District 4 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Coronado was routed by Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 14-6, in a league test.
