Rosebud-Lott Cougars (Rosebud, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Milano Eagles (Milano, TX), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bremond for a 2A Region IV District 27 challenge on Friday, April 8. Rosebud-Lott will face a Tigers squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Granger (Granger, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Milano falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Thorndale (Thorndale, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 2A Region IV District 27 challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-6. Thorndale won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Thrall (Thrall, TX)
