The Santa Rosa Lions softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Mora Rangers/Rangerettes to 1 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Santa Rosa moves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Lions host Clayton (Clayton, NM) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a A/2A District 6 game on Thursday, April 7. The Yellowjackets come into the game with a record of 2-7. Clayton won 10-6 in their recent league game against Pecos (Pecos, NM)

In their next game, the Rangers/Rangerettes clash with the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) in a A/2A District 2/5 game, on Wednesday, April 13. Mora will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 13-7 non-league win over Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM).
