The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) baseball trounced the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 11-1 in Wednesday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 10. Alexander Central will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 10-1 league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

The Huskies now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Tuesday, April 18.
