North Carolina High School Softball - North Pitt topped by Ayden - Grifton

In Wednesday's league contest, the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC), by a margin of 20-2.

With the triumph, Ayden - Grifton moves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Chargers travel to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to play the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 12. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 9-6. Farmville Central won 8-6 in their recent league contest against West Craven (Vanceboro, NC)

In their next game, the Panthers play the Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, April 12. North Pitt will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Gators come into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Union (Rose Hill, NC).
