Edgewood Lions (West Covina, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bassett Olympians (La Puente, CA), 16-5 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rio Hondo Prep for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Edgewood will battle a Kares squad coming off a 18-6 league win over Westridge (Pasadena, CA). The Kares record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Bassett falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Olympians host Pomona (Pomona, CA) to battle the Red Devils in a Miramonte challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Pomona lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Edgewood (West Covina, CA)
