Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Schalmont Sabres (Schenectady, NY), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mohonasen for a Section 2 Colonial challenge on Thursday, April 6. Catholic Central will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to Cohoes (Cohoes, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Schalmont falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Sabres travel to Amsterdam (Amsterdam, NY) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Amsterdam lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Duanesburg (Delanson, NY)
