Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Heritage Mountaineers (Maryville, TN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now sport a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Walker Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. Clinton will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-1 league win over Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Heritage falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to William Blount (Maryville, TN) to face the Governors in a 4A District 4 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Governors enter the challenge with a record of 3-4. William Blount won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Bearden (Knoxville, TN)
