Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Firebirds now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Wilcox for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. Fremont will face a Chargers squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Monta Vista falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA) to face the Bruins in a El Camino challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 3-5.
