The Hoover Buccaneers got by the host Tuscaloosa County Wildcats softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Buccaneers (23-6) will now prepare for their battle against Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL). The Rebels go into the 7A Area 5 battle with a 31-5 record. In their last battle, Vestavia Hills nudged Chelsea (Chelsea, AL), 8-4, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats now sport a 22-10 record. They play next when they host Springville for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 6. Tuscaloosa County will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Hoover (Hoover, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 22-5.
