Loara Saxons (Anaheim, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros (Garden Grove, CA), 18-12 in a league challenge.

The Saxons now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bolsa Grande for a Garden Grove challenge on Monday, April 10. Loara will battle a Matadors squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to La Quinta (Westminster, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 2-7.

In their next game, the Vaqueros clash with the Los Amigos Lobos (Fountain Valley, CA) in a Garden Grove game, on Friday, April 7. Rancho Alamitos will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Lobos come into the game with a 5-3 record after their 19-0 league loss to Santiago (Garden Grove, CA).
