In Wednesday's league outing, the host North Gaston Wildcats softball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Stuart W. Cramer Storm.

Coming up next, the Wildcats encounter the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A outing, on Tuesday, April 18. North Gaston will attempt to improve on its 10-3 season record.

The Storm (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the non-league outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Cherryville tipped East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 12-11, in a league contest.
