In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) softball team the visiting Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC), by a margin of 4-0.

With the triumph, Polk County moves its record to 7-8 on the year. The Wolverines travel to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to play the Hilltoppers in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A contest on Tuesday, April 18. The Hilltoppers come into the contest with a record of 10-3.

In their next game, the Tigers play the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, April 18. Rosman will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record.
