The Burges Mustangs baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Andress Eagles to 1 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs (12-7) will now prepare for their match against Jefferson (El Paso, TX). The Silver Foxes go into the 5A Region I District 1 match with a 10-9 record. In their last match, Jefferson was overwhelmed by Canutillo (Canutillo, TX), 11-4, in a league match.

The Eagles (3-18) will now prepare for their match against Chapin (El Paso, TX). The Huskies go into the 5A Region I District 1 match with a 7-16 record. In their last match, Chapin was overwhelmed by El Paso (El Paso, TX), 14-13, in a league match.
