The Midland Mustangs baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Brinkley Tigers to 1 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs (11-10) will now prepare for their match against Brinkley (Brinkley, AR). The Tigers go into the 1A Region 5 match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, Brinkley was overwhelmed by Clarendon (Clarendon, AR), 18-8, in a league match.
The Tigers (0-8) will now prepare for their match against Midland (Pleasant Plains, AR). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region 5 match with a 9-10 record. In their last match, Midland ran past Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR), 10-9, in a non-league match.
