In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Heritage Academy Gateway Heroes baseball team scored a nice 22-5 victory over the Canyon State Academy Rams.

The Heroes (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Mission Heights Prep (Casa Grande, AZ). The Phantoms go into the CAA D2 Sahuaro game with a 6-1 record. In their last game, Mission Heights Prep was overwhelmed by Heritage Academy (Maricopa, AZ), 19-0, in a league contest.

The Rams now sport a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Maricopa Institute of Technology for a non-league contest on Monday, April 8. Canyon State Academy will encounter a squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to East Valley Athletes for Christ (Mesa, AZ). The record now stands at 2-2.
