In Friday's non-league game, the host University Liggett Knights baseball team scored a tight 4-1 victory over the North Branch Broncos.

The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Greenhills (Ann Arbor, MI). The Gryphons go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Greenhills tipped Roeper (Birmingham, MI), 7-5, in a non-league game.
