Cabot Panthers (Cabot, AR) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR), 1-0 in a league test.

The Panthers now hold a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to North Little Rock for a 6A Central test on Tuesday, April 9. Cabot will meet a Charging Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bryant (Bryant, AR). The Charging Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Jonesboro drops to 5-7 on the season. The Hurricane travel to Little Rock Southwest (Little Rock, AR) to meet the Gryphons in a 6A Central test on Tuesday, April 9. The Gryphons come into the test with a record of 0-10. Little Rock Southwest lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Central (Little Rock, AR)
