Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bryan for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. Midway will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Temple falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Hutto (Hutto, TX) to battle the Hippos in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Hippos enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Hutto lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Midway (Waco, TX)
