The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) and the host Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI), saw Prout's lacrosse team nudge Cumberland by a margin of 5-4.

The Crusaders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Middletown (Middletown, RI). The Islanders enter the Division 2 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Middletown was tipped by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 15-6, in a league challenge.

The Clippers (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers enter the Division 2 challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Chariho edged Coventry (Coventry, RI), 21-1, in a league challenge.
