Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the host West Orange Mountaineers (West Orange, NJ), 8-2 in a non-league battle.

The Hillbillies now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montclair Kimberley Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 6. Verona will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 15-11 league win over Cranford (Cranford, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.

In their next game, the Mountaineers clash with the Eastern Christian Eagles (North Haledon, NJ) in a Dowling battle, on Tuesday, April 9. West Orange will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
