Alabama High School Softball - Alexandria bounces Piedmont

The Alexandria Valley Cubs routed the host Piedmont Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Valley Cubs (21-7) will now prepare for their battle against Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Volunteers go into the 5A Area 10 battle with a 8-6 record.
The Bulldogs now sport a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Saks for a 3A Area 10 battle on Monday, April 8. Piedmont will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Weaver (Weaver, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-13.
