South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 19-2 in a league challenge.

The Sauras now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Norman for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. South Stokes will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Alleghany falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Trojans host North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to face the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. North Wilkes lost 12-8 in their recent league challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC)
