In Friday's league challenge, the Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) softball squad triumphed over the visiting Chapel Hill Red Devils (Mount Pleasant, TX), by a tally of 16-1.

The Yellowjackets now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winona for a 3A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Mineola will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 22-1 league loss to Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Chapel Hill falls to 4-15 on the campaign. The Red devils host Quitman (Quitman, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 8-10. Quitman lost 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX)
