Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Crescent City Christian Pioneers (Metairie, LA), 17-1 in a non-league contest.

With the triumph, Newman moves its record to 13-3 on the year. The Greenies travel to Dunham (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 6. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 10-9. Dunham lost 20-6 in their recent non-league contest against Central Private (Baker, LA)

In their next game, the Pioneers play the Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 8. Crescent City Christian will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 6-10 record after their 23-0 league win over Frederick A. Douglass (New Orleans, LA).
