Delhi Bears (Delhi, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Richwood Rams (Monroe, LA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Delta Charter for a 1A District 4 challenge on Monday, April 8. Delhi will battle a Storm squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, LA). The Storm record now stands at 11-16.

With the loss, Richwood falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Rams host North Webster (Springhill, LA) to battle the Knights in a 3A District 1 challenge on Monday, April 8. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-10. North Webster lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Bastrop (Bastrop, LA)
