The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY) and the visiting Wheatland Bulldogs (Wheatland, WY), saw East's softball squad nip Wheatland by a count of 8-7.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thunder Basin for a 4A East match on Friday, April 12. East will face a Bolts squad coming off a 25-2 league win over South (Cheyenne, WY). The Bolts record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Wheatland falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Central (Cheyenne, WY) to face the Indians in a 4A East match on Saturday, April 6. The Indians enter the match with a record of 1-6. Central lost 14-13 in their recent non-league match against East (Cheyenne, WY)
