The Elgin Wildcats got by the visiting Georgetown Eagles softball squad by a final score of 1-0 in Friday's league battle.
The Wildcats (16-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Eagles go into the 5A Region III District 23 battle with a 10-17 record. In their last battle, Cedar Creek nudged Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX), 10-0, in a league battle.
The Eagles now possess a 24-7 record. They play next when they host Hendrickson for a 5A Region III District 23 battle on Tuesday, April 9. Georgetown will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 13-11.
