Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM), 14-13 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pojoaque Valley for a 4A District 2 challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Taos will face a Elks/Elkettes squad coming off a 10-8 league loss to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM). The Elks/Elkettes record now stands at 3-14.

With the loss, Espanola Valley falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to face the Pintos in a 4A District 2 challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Pintos enter the challenge with a record of 9-5.
