LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL), 18-7 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hoopeston for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. LeRoy will battle a Cornjerkers squad coming off a 16-5 league win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm (Georgetown, IL). The Cornjerkers record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to battle the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Maroons enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Champaign Central lost 17-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Normal Community (Normal, IL)
