Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harlandale Indians (San Antonio, TX), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwest Legacy for a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, April 12. Winn will face a Titans squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Titans record now stands at 3-21.

With the loss, Harlandale falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Indians host Southwest (San Antonio, TX) to face the Dragons in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 16-14. Southwest won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)
