Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX), 17-5 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 17-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rice for a 3A Region III District 18 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Malakoff will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Kemp falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Eustace (Eustace, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 18 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 9-18. Eustace won 15-9 in their recent league challenge against Mildred (Corsicana, TX)
