The La Vega Pirates softball team (Waco, TX), was routed 14-1 in Friday's league test with the host Robinson Rockets (Robinson, TX)

Coming up next, the Rockets clash with the Salado Eagles (Salado, TX) in a 4A Region III District 23 test, on Tuesday, April 9. Robinson will attempt to improve on its 24-5 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 24-1 record after their 16-0 league win over Connally (Waco, TX).

The Pirates (4-8) will now prepare for their test against China Spring (China Spring, TX). The Cougars come into the 4A Region III District 23 test with a 9-17 record. In their last test, China Spring was routed by Gatesville (Gatesville, TX), 22-4, in a league test.
