Noxapater Tigers (Noxapater, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 24-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Scott Central for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. Noxapater will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 15-2 league loss to Lake (Lake, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, Leake Central falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Gators host Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to battle the Trojans in a 4A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 8. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 9-10. Northeast Lauderdale won 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Morton (Morton, MS)
