Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Bay Springs Bulldogs (Bay Springs, MS) in a 2A Region 5 test, on Tuesday, April 9. Newton will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record.

The Gators (0-8) will now prepare for their test against Taylorsville (Taylorsville, MS). The Tartars enter the 1A Region 7 test with a 1-21 record. In their last test, Taylorsville was routed by South Jones (Ellisville, MS), 20-3, in a non-league test.
