In Friday's non-league contest, the Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL) softball team overwhelmed the host Locust Fork Hornets (Locust Fork, AL), by a margin of 15-8.

With the triumph, Pennington moves its record to 7-13 on the year. The Tigers travel to Southeastern (Remlap, AL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Friday, April 5. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 8-11. Southeastern lost 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Hayden (Hayden, AL)

In their next game, the Hornets play the Oneonta Redskins (Oneonta, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 8. Locust Fork will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Redskins come into the contest with a 9-18 record after their 6-4 league win over Etowah (Attalla, AL).
