Troy Trojans (Troy, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX), 5-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lorena for a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 16.

With the loss, McGregor falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX) to battle the Yoemen in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Yoemen enter the challenge with a record of 8-11.
