The Mumford Mustangs softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host North Zulch Bulldogs to 0 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Mumford improves its record to 14-8 on the year. The Mustangs host Snook (Snook, TX) to clash with the Bluejays in a 2A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, April 9. The Bluejays come into the game with a record of 12-11. Snook lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Burton (Burton, TX)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Somerville Yeguas (Somerville, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 9. North Zulch will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Yeguas come into the game with a 10-13 record after their 3-1 league loss to Mumford (Mumford, TX).
