Muncy Indians (Muncy, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Sugar Valley Rural Phoenix (Loganton, PA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Bloomsburg for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Muncy will face a Panthers squad coming off a 12-8 league loss to Loyalsock Township (Williamsport, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Sugar Valley Rural falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Sullivan County (Laporte, PA) to face the Griffins in a Mid-Penn D4 challenge on Monday, April 8. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Sullivan County won 20-10 in their recent league challenge against Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA)
