North Lamar Panthers (Paris, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Paris Wildcats (Paris, TX), 17-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sulphur Springs for a 4A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. North Lamar will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Paris falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX) to battle the Leopards in a 4A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Leopards enter the challenge with a record of 2-14. Liberty-Eylau lost 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Pleasant Grove (Texarkana, TX)
