Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Western Guilford Hornets (Greensboro, NC), 21-0 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grimsley for a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Northwest Guilford will battle a Whirlies squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Western Guilford falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC) to battle the Cowboys in a Metro 4A challenge on Tuesday, April 9. The Cowboys enter the challenge with a record of 10-3.
