Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Milford Highlanders (West Milford, NJ), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Verona for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. Passaic Valley will face a Hillbillies squad coming off a 9-2 league win over Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Hillbillies record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, West Milford falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Montville (Montville, NJ) to face the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Montville lost 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ)
