La Salle Lancers (Pasadena, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting St. Monica Mariners (Santa Monica, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers (21-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA). The Phantoms come into the Del Rey game with a 8-13 record. In their last game, Cathedral nudged Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA), 3-0, in a league game.

The Mariners (15-13) will now prepare for their game against Salesian (Los Angeles, CA). The Mustangs go into the Camino Real game with a 10-16 record. In their last game, Salesian nudged Bosco Tech (Rosemead, CA), 3-0, in a league game.
