In Saturday's non-league test, the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), by a tally of 15-5.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 5. Assumption will attempt to advance on its 22-4 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 10-8 record after their 11-10 non-league loss to Destrehan (Destrehan, LA).

The Penguins (6-14) will now prepare for their test against Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA). The Terriers go into the non-league test with a 21-2 record. In their last test, Vandebilt Catholic prevailed over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA), 8-1, in a non-league test.
