The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) and the host Pickens Academy Pirates (Carrollton, AL), observed Berry's softball team get by Pickens Academy by a tally of 8-3.

The Wildcats (10-11) will now prepare for their bout against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Tigers go into the 1A Area 10 bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Brilliant was routed by Hamilton (Hamilton, AL), 11-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Tuesday, April 8. Pickens Academy will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 17-2 non-league loss to Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL).
