The Grants Pass Cavemen triumphed over the host South Eugene Axe softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Saturday's league challenge.
Next, the Cavemen meet the Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Saturday, April 12. Grants Pass will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
The Axe (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Willamette (Eugene, OR). The Wolverines enter the 6A Southwest challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Willamette was routed by Sheldon (Eugene, OR), 7-3, in a league challenge.
