The Whitewright Tigers softball squad (Whitewright, TX), was edged 9-8 in Saturday's league contest with the host Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX)

With the triumph, Honey Grove improves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Warriors travel to Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX) to face the Tomcats in a 2A Region II District 11 contest on Friday, April 11. The Tomcats enter the contest with a record of 2-12.

The Tigers now hold a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Sam Rayburn for a 2A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, April 8. Whitewright will face a Rebels squad coming off a 12-4 league loss to Trenton (Trenton, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 11-11.
