In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Point Pleasant Boro Panthers softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the Toms River East Raiders.
The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ). The Griffins come into the Shore - B South match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Donovan Catholic nipped St. Anthony's (Melville, NY), 10-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Central Regional Golden Eagles (Bayville, NJ) in a Shore - A South match, on Monday, April 7. Toms River East will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ).
